Originally posted by 3fourths There haven’t been any great ones recently, but I’ll see what’s coming up. They might be brewing another batch of Imperial Red, which was excellent last year. |
I should be getting one of those brandy Hunahpu growlers next week. Do you guys think it will hold up (in the fridge of course) until the grand tasting? I’ve never kept a growler for more than a week. |
Originally posted by t0rin0 It’s a counter pressure filled flip top, so it should last a good while. Plenty long enough for the gathering. |
Originally posted by hopscotch Good to hear they’re using flip tops now. I was expecting one of the old growlers (pill bottles) that had about 1.5 threads per inch and were extremely prone to leaking. Feeling much better about this, thanks. |
This will show the shape of the glass and the basic design although it’s changed a bit and the logo in this picture is smaller than what will actually be on the glass. I’ll get you guys a picture of the finished product either when they send me a picture or when the glasses arrive at my house. |

Anyone else interested in t-shirts? According to the google form I set up, there are only about 5 or 6 people that want shirts. |
I’ll be ferrying down some fun kegs from Highwater and Drake’s. Will know more soon once barrels are tasted. Almanac is sending down some cases of the fennel bier de mars and orange wit as well. |
The Grand Tasting list is starting to look nice. I can’t wait for this. |
Originally posted by Smokepot23 On that note, and one more time for anyone new to RBSG, the grand tasting is a bottle share. It is what you make of it. Those beers are what people are bringing, not everyone is going to be able to try everything. Bring some beer that you want to share. Doesnt have to be the whale-est beer. |
