Hi
I’m arriving to LAX on Tuesday the 17th just before 2 PM. Likely doing a few places in LA during the first night. Wednesday I plan on the "usual" Pizza Port pubcrawl down to San Diego, by train. I’m aiming at a Wednesday evening/night at Toronado.
Are there any of you guys from San Diego that plan on driving to LA Thursday for the RBSG that would have a spare seat for me? I would be travelling light on this SD trip (one backpack, luggage will be at the hotel at LAX), sharing expenses obviously.
Would it be possible to set up a trade for Lost Abbey Cable Car Kriek (2011) or take it away from Toronado?

Definitely not for take away at Toronado, probably not even for on site unless you know someone but the rumor was that it was overcarbonated so they were trying to get rid of them all. As with everything I’m sure there are some around still. If you’re in the greater LA area on Wednesday night and want to stop by Stuffed Sandwich let me know (that’s where I am most Wednesdays). Depending on what fatpeoplecantsail wants to do we MIGHT head towards LA that night too.

Yup, I had no luck getting any of the kriek about a month ago onsite (let alone to go)...they do have some of the older versions available for on premise consumption though.

Speaking of RBSG, both of you still need to pay. And I think some of the SD guys may have gotten Cable Car Kriek bottles out of Toronado, so maybe one of them might be convinced to open it.

So none of the new kriek ones? Fantastic prices, good I had both 4 years ago. Obviously they dont want to sell their last bottles but just keep having them on their beerlist.

They had the kriek couple of months back much more reasonably priced at ~$55-60 , I ordered one and I guess I wasn’t cool enough to buy one, they said they had it looked up in the back and the guy with the keys wasn’t there, I love beer but not enough to pay $250 for a bottle

I will be in SD for a Conference that week, and was looking to go to Toronado as well, but I have a conference function I likely can’t escape from on Wednesday. I am hoping to be there on monday or tuesday.
On the plus side, I will be looking to drive up to LA for RBSG from SD around Noon on Thursday, so you might be able to hitch a ride with me, if you haven’t already arranged something.
