So I don’t know if this is a completely cracked idea or not, but can you re-bottle beer. I’m asking because I’ve got one brew that’s bottled in 650ml bottles and needs to be in 12 oz bottles for the TBW competition. I don’t want to screw this up, but I really want to enter this brew. Please help.

I’ve never tried it, but I’m guessing that the carbonation will suffer, and the beer will show signs of oxidization even if you siphon really carefully from one bottle to another. Probably not worth it.

Yes, it works, but yes you’ll lose some carbonation. You can lessen the effect by placing the original unopened bottle in the freezer for awhile first. Don’t let it quite freeze, but the CO2 will stay in suspension better in a thickened fluid. Pour very slowly into a funnel or use a racking tube to minimize the waste and pressure differences, this also gives the foam time to dissipate. When I really want to ensure new bottle-fermentation, I simply add a tiny bit of sterile priming sugar and fresh yeast to each new bottle before adding the beer on top.

I’ve done this lots of times, with fine results (such as dividing up a rare growler for multiple 12oz trades...as long as I let people know ahead of time, no one complains.)

I guess TBW is near? If not you could prime it a little?
