In weather like now that calls for thirstquenchers, in a country that does poorly at quality pils deserving of that name: |
Glad to see Cuvee de Ranke mentioned, but I’d also say grab a tap XX Bitter if you can. SImply stunning when on top form. |
When you’re in Brussels, pop into the Fleur en Papier Doré for draught Girardin kriekenlambic, bloempanch (Brussels black pudding), and surrealist bric-a-brac. |
Originally posted by FatPhil had both bottled before but will certainly look for it on tap |
Cheers all, good suggestions so far and a few I’d not heard of, keep ’em coming |
From De la Senne Zinnebir and Jambe de Bois on tap at PinPon in Brussels also blew me away with intense drinkability and even some creaminess, offsetting those trademark DLS flowery bitters. |
Blaugies, Hill Farmstead Saison Vermontoise. Anything by De Ranke, De la Senne.. and will add more. |
I see there are a few beers from Tilquin that you’ve not had - look for those. |
De La Senne wins. |
