Years ago they started pasteurizing the bottles once it hit 3.5 pH to prevent it from going even lower during overseas shipping etc. It’s still an amazing beer in every aspect, but things have indeed changed and we’re talking at least a decade.

I think in very broad ways there is a general consensus. There is a subset of beers that generate greater variability in scores but generally not. Even for individual beers, the same is true.

They also add sugar to back-sweeten it before pasteurization. I have immense respect for their brewing operations but just don’t like what they do with the beer when they package it.
