I will join in. Had the week off but I’ll pick all these up next week, got a 10 quid voucher and 10% staff discount means 9 beers for 80p. Result! Doubt I could hack them all in one night though...

I appear to have a hangover. Now what was I doing last night? Oh crap now I remember. Those 11 empty bottles in the kitchen may have something to do with it.

To be honest I really wish I hadn’t done it as it ruined the rest of the weekend Mind you I still managed to meet one of the brewers from Caveman in Swalescombe and try their Citra, meet AndrewC in Canterbury for the Foundry’s new Canterbury Lager and then drink pints of Girardin Kriekenlambic and Jonge Lambik at The Bottle Shop, Canterbury where they have some 10 litre lambic boxes from the brewery. Made my weekend.

Thoughts so far; Wadworth Horizon 2.4- bathwater. Sink had a slurp. Cairngorm White Lady 2.8- Unbavarian. Worst Cairngorm I’ve had. Harviestoun Wild Hop 3.6- Lychee, stewed tea, nettles. Hums of hop. Williams Prodigal 3.4- Jammy Dodgers. TSA Espresso 2.6- saccharined Irish coffee/Polish alcopop. Still recovering from the shock and excitement of picking up 13 new beers in Nuneaton. In a supermarket. In any UK supermarket come to think of it. Except Booth’s. Thankyou, Sainsbury’s. Thankyou.

Seen them all in Sainsbury’s, Irvine. No 3 for £4, though. Was told that was English stores only, we are subject to SNP recommendations on minimum pricing for alcohol! That’s right, those being queried by the EU right now!

I tried the Harviestoun as it mentioned the magic words "Simcoe" and "Citra" on the label... well, they must have used about a cone of each as it wasn’t particularly interesting - nowt wrong with it, actually it was quite a decent beer, but I was (naively) hoping for a little more.
None of the others interested me enough to buy them.
