Just got back into Big D from visiting San Francisco. Didn’t get to visit any of the pubs because that’s hard to do when you’ve got a 7 and 8-year old in tow (and the only parent). Still, I did manage to have a few local brews and liked them but I can tell I missed out on sooooo much more. And it was a real bummer to go into the beer store and see all the killer brews that I couldn’t take back on the plane.

I you ever come to Dallas-Fort Worth, I would like to apologize in advance for all the shitty drivers and construction.

(in no particular order) We saw Fisherman’s Wharf (figured out pretty quick that it was just touristy and not the true representation of SF), the third Rangers/Giants game at AT&T park (thanks for the free hats - lol), had a pizza at Village Pizzeria (the one on Van Ness), saw a part of Lombard street but it was not the famous part, Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, drove around downtown and since I’m also a cemetery buff I visited a few of the cemeteries along El Camino Real in Colma and the GG National Cemetery in San Bruno. I didn’t visit Chinatown because I knew there would be no way I’d get my kids to eat there. Oh, and we parked in Japantown and rode the #47 Muni to the game...just for the experience. We saw the old cable cars at Fisherman’s Wharf but didn’t have time to ride one.

I’ll definitely be back as I know I hardly scratched the surface of things to do there.

Last week I was in Las Vegas for a whopping 33 hours! Grammy took the kiddos for a week and the wife and I took off for LV. The wife had to go back to work so when we got back into town I took a three hour nap and drove to Shreveport. The 1st and only rule of Grammy: when she takes the kids, you *don’t* sit at home and do nothing!
