Hello Chris,

I used BA for a few years but fell out with the owners over one or two things: still pop on occasionally but have not posted or reviewed anything on there for 10 months or so.

I have been offered an afternoon out at The Pheasantry by my wifes friend who lives in Lincoln and put us up for the festival. Not sure when that will happen though: most likely next summer.

Yes, I have enjoyed the first two: next is the last Cottage Delight I have, Snowmans meltdown, a 4.5% Dark Stout.

Well I have got to say how impressed I have been with my three Cottage Delight beers from Leeks in staffordshire. I expected pap and was really pleased with all three. A bit sweet for the citrus/sour puss brigade but I really liked um.

Bone King is very good indeed, certainly worth the money and I’d gladly have again on draught (either dispense) however I’m not sure it’s the DIPA I’ve enjoyed most. Full on amazing fresh aroma, top marks there but a little boozy perhaps

My next bottle is ’OMG’ (Old Miserable Git) from Thwaites coming in at a sensible 4.1% ABV.

You two need to calm down this early!

I got a bottle of cider from hogs back. I know it’s neither beer or christmasy, but it was in the cupboard. Waiting for a curry to be delivered.

Tom, you really must try harder to ’fit in’: but welcome anyway!

I’ll be off to the local, as it’s Saturday and I’ve now got 2 days. Might have another to keep me going while I suffer the x factor.

I do not do X-jungle-talent, sadly the wife does: but she is away, hence the Pre-Christmas Christmas Beer tasting evening I am having (mostly with myself).

Thwaites OMG was OK, a bit thin body wise but sweet enough for my palate.

OK, here we go with a 2009 Bush Noel - damn, I poured a bit of trub in, idiot! But even so it’s dry and peppery and toasty and rather tasty...
