Better this year than last year. AFAICR, anyway, having drunk too much on Wednesday, so things are a bit clouldy. More balanced, dry, and actually quite good. |
Does Fastenbier usually stick around all during Lent? I’ll be in Bamberg for Fastenbier next year. Hopefully it doesn’t run out until I get there. |

Bamberg’s getting bloody expensive. I think they brew enough to keep it in stock for all of Fastenzeit. I had it on Easter Saturday one year. I wouldn’t worry about it, especially if you’re coming at least a week before Easter. It’s also a new tradition; they’ve only been brewing it for a few years now. Maybe 5 or 6. |
