I still haven’t heard my results, now I’m starting to wonder if my beer even made it. 5/9/2008 9:03:53 AM

posted here http://beertown.org/events/nhc/1st_round.html

you’re in the northeast region like i was...it’s hard to win there considering there was 2 to 3 times more entries in our region than any other....but we don’t have Jamil in our region so it’s a trade off.

We were 2nd in entries (Old West Region) with 721. I almost got my Rye IPA moved on in Specialty but was beaten out for 3rd place (honorable mention sucks) so no love for me. 5/9/2008 2:53:27 PM

The way they have the regional 1st round sites set up really does seem to put those in the Northeast at a dissadvantage. And do they send an equal number of beers form each round 1 site to the 2nd round? If so this seems to also put easterners at a dissadvantage. Can an entrant send his beer to whatever regional site he feels like? 5/9/2008 3:02:16 PM

yes

The west region has Jamil, and he had 23 beers make it to second round!

only the one you live in.
