Hey,
I’d like to know if it is as "illegal" to ship beer to canada like to the US. And are there special things to keep in mind when shipping the box which are special for Canada?? Or is it just the same like the US??

Thanks :-)

It is illegal, please use the same care that you use when shipping to the US. Never ever try to explain the sloshing sound by declaring any other kind of liquid... this will get your box seized for sure (I think). In fact, never declare the content of your box as something "organic". That and keep the declared value low (under $20) so your recipient does not get taxed by customs.

Canadian customs seems to be worse than US customs. Good luck getting the box through.

Can be problematic for sure but there are some things that help. Keep the value low, mark it as a gift, pack well to limit sound (also recommend putting each bottle/can in a bag so if something breaks the entire box doesn’t get confiscated), and I usually declare it as ceramics or glass wear. Like everything else its still somewhat touchy but you do the best you can and hope. Good luck.
