Toby’s (pub and liquor store) on Commercial Dr. has a small selection of craft beers (20-30), but among them some that I haven’t seen much around:
Fort Garry Munich Eisbock
Phillips/Garrison Mash-Up Baltic Porter
Whistler Chocolate Winter Dunkel
...
They also have quite a few Old Cellar Dweller (without the 1-bottle limit of Viti’s).
The attendant says that they should also have a box of Woolly Bugger; better to call the boss first...

Look for Lighthouse’s Belgian Black in Vancouver next week too ~$8 for 650ml bomber. I’m pretty excited to try this... Its like the BC beer scene took a hit of steroids on New Years Eve. Crazy the number of releases we’re seeing... and add the 4 Hoyne Brewing beers too (Bock, PA, Pils and IPA) http://hoynebrewing.ca/

I can’t wait to take a trip to Victoria and partake of the local scene there. Sounds like things are setting a really good example for the rest of Canada.

Lol! Never had it but assumed it would not be great. I’ll end up getting a bottle anyway me thinks unless someone bring a bottle to the tasting! :

I’m trying to spread the purchases between my debit and credit cards so not to shock my wife.
Dave - Did you see the Brooklyn Black Ops at Cook Street? $33/btl.

Does he have his own place or is he contracting somewhere? I’d love to trip over these at some point before I leave.
