"Spontaneous" fermentation using wood

Starter is . . . umm . . . started. Smells good. Canít wait to pitch it into some wort.

Did you go directly from the old beer into the new wort? Grav and type of starter? Any cleaning of the spiral?

Na. Had the spiral in a ziplock in the fridge for a day or so.

About a 32 oz. starter made with 0.5 lbs of Extra Light DME.

Just washed it off and allowed it to air dry before bagging and refrigerating it.
