My guess is that it "does not contain at least 50% fermentable grains, fermentable honey or apples"

Seems to me that one could buy root beer schnapps as an alternative if the sprechers is not avail in your area. And, one can make a good reduction with root beer schnapps and pour it over cheesecake.

I tried to order it from a place in Chicago, but the waitress advised me against it. My bartender friend sent a bottle over to the table a little late. Me and the other 3 at my table couldn't even finish the bottle. I thought it tasted like root beer mixed with a King Cobra. Did not like.
