Steel Toe Brewing
Our Black Barleywine - ’Before the Dawn’ - will be released on this coming Friday 6.22.12. We will limit to 4 bottles per person. We should have slightly more of this dark brew than we had of Lunker, we will have an official bottle count this week. PROST!

I’m guessing most of us who were there had samples as we purchased our bottles. What did everyone think? I thought it was definitely better than Lunker as a fresh beer.
Mostly curious since I haven’t seen many rates (and I’m bored. )
Their BA program seems to be off to very promising start and I’m curious to see how the bottle I’m sending to RBSG get rated.

I agree that it is better than Lunker fresh. I still think Lunker will be amazing in a year or two, maybe 3. That shit is HOT! Before the dawn tasted amazing. I still haven’t had a chance to open one of my bottles but I remember it being really rich and smooth but still had a really prominent barrel quality.
