airforce1 61:9 I was talking to Chris at Ebenezers and he said they are working to make sure Black Albert never hits the E Auction market through "controlled distribution", but some will always leak to Ebay I’m sure. Let’s just pray That Urbs and Chesis get on the ball and brew some more chop chop nyat nyat! 1/31/2008 5:38:50 PM

That’s funny. Damn the free market!!! You got to love people trying to monopolize the market so they can sell it at there bar and through special friends in the name of doing good.

For all you eBay haters, which would you rather have, a market where anyone can get a beer (at what is perceived as higher than market value), or in the case of Black Albert only via some secret ‘controlled distribution’ that limits what you can do with your beer.

airforce1 61:9 I don’t think market control was the idea. I think getting enough distributed to everyone so it doesn’t get put on ebay was the idea. Anyway, thanks for the negativity, and the opinion that speaks without facts. 2/1/2008 10:26:51 AM

If by secret ‘controlled distribution’ , you mean one pub , or in the case of Westvleteren 1 Abbey. Id take the 1 Controled outlet over ebay every time. Any one who really want it can take the trip to get it.

And there must be lots of beers in this catagory , as many brewpubs dont bottle.

Let’s go ahead and not turn this into another eBay thread.

Plans are being made to try and incorporate it into our Zythos trip... I think we basically just needed to contact you and see if it was ok and if you were around.

The major point on ebay is if the government ever takes notice and makes it into an issue of beer traveling over state lines (nevermind the license), not only will this outlet, ebay, be gone, but all traders will be scrutinized by all mail carriers, unlike it is now, and then say bye to your best way of getting a hold on what the other coast has to offer outside of travel. 2/1/2008 11:19:33 AM
