Just had a cheap Belgian lager from the local off licence. Now I am not a big fan of lager, although since joining ratebeer a few years ago I have grown to appreciate them a little more.

Took this can out of the fridge, chilled and sat drinking it In the garden looking at the lawn that the wife will have to mow tomorrow. Now I rated this 2.2 which is a decent score for a lager on my ratings. But I can’t help thinking, would I have scored it lower in the winter.

Does the sun influence your ratings for lagers? I think it influences mine.

I don’t know about influencing rating scores directly for lagers but I certainly avoided porters and stouts at Chelmsford beer fest yesterday. The heat was such that I really didn’t want anything dark and roasty.

No I would pick an ice cold shit lager over a tepid bitter like doombar and it’s shitty butterscotch characterb. @ least cold piss lager is refreshing. Regardless of the season
