’m sure this has been brought up before but what’s your favorite beer with tacos. I recently polished off some awesome hard tacos with a bottle of Ambar CaesarAugusta (CaesarAvgvsta) and was pleasantly surprised. I also like DIPAs with em but I feel like sometimes they’re too dry on the palate to be refreshing enough with super spicy food. Thoughts?

cheers!Pippercheers!

I drink Bohemia at this one Mexican restaurant in town, and I swear that half the time it tastes like crisp clean Mexican lager, and the other half the time it tastes like American Pale Ale. It fits the bill nicely either way but I have no clue why two of the same beer served from the same restaurant would taste so different. 11/9/2009 1:20:40 PM

We made our righteous shrimp tacos the other night, but I didn’t have beer with it. Super easy, and it kicks ass.

Get some decent shrim, peel and devein them and put them in a bowl with some salt, cracked pepper and juice of a lemon.

Saute up some onion and green pepper, not so much that it gets soft, though. You still want a little crunch.

Throw the shrimp in there and saute them up.

After the shrimp are done, turn off the heat and throw a couple slices of Pepper Jack Velveeta in there. (I don’t give a damn what anyone says. It is good with this stuff!!) You could use chopped fresh jalepenos and a mexican melting cheese, though.

Stir and let the cheesefood melt.

Fry up some corn tortillas and use a little sour cream. YUM. thumbs up

Same. I’m always up for Pacifico or Negra Modelo, especially since I like my salsa hot, so I don’t expect to taste much after a while anyway.
