Great times in Phoenix with Daknole! We definately had a great mini tasting at his place. big thanks to him! Spent yesterday in San Francisco-hit up 21st Amendment, which i was very impressed with. The canned beers are not their true beers-contract brews. their house beers were fantastic! Also stopped at City Beer-not a bad place but very expensive and not many beers on tap. Today, I headed up to Russian River-wow talk about the perfect brewpub! For me, that is the pinnacle of breweries. All their beers were very good to fantastic! could make my highest rated place ever! Hit Lagunitas after that.....such a letdown from RR. Beer was muddled oxidized and just not good in comparison. The atmosphere is pretty good however, the food sux! Then headed down the east bay area (took the wrong exit ended up in the ghettos of Oakland for a few minutes)and hit up Drakes. Not a bad place-decent beers, decent atmosphere but i think RR is taking the cake for me on this trip. Its been a very good yet tiring month of travel and beer. im going to take a 3-4 month break from beer after this.

Thanks Dak! So, today, i drove down from the eastern burbs of SF down the I-5, around LA. I did stop at Lone Hill Liquors-picked up a couple bottles (Wookey jack, Logsdon Saison/Bretta) and headed over to Hangar 24 in Redlands-talk about a really cool place! met some really cool people, lots of hot chicks-cant go wrong with that place! Their beer is very above average to boot! Good day today! also, yesterday, I went to the bevMO in livermore,CA and found the Sierra Nevada Crystal Wheat in bottles. picked up a 6er of that and a 6er of 21st Back to Black IPA.
