t the relatives. Do this every year. There will be MGD and Becks. I’ve taken decent bottle conditioned ales. The unopened ones I’ve had to leave behind, cause it’s not polite to take back. One shivers at their fate. Several have suggested it’s not polite to bring snobby beer. I PMFH chardonnay, so I’m going to take good cab, and I’m going to leave none behind.

Have you taken any rauchbier? I’ve had much success with the wife’s family drinking on some Rauchbier their favorite by far has been Spezial and it goes over particularly well with thanksgiving style meals. 11/5/2009 7:54:10 AM

I will usually bring a bomber or two of some decent, but not expensive stuff. My grandpa and my step dad both enjoy sampling the beer I bring so not much if any goes to waste. I will just open it and put it with the bottles of wine and if someone wants to try it, its out there 11/5/2009 8:03:43 AM

Wwwwwwhaaaaaat? I ALWAYS bring my beer home with me unless I specifically bring it for everyone to drink. 11/5/2009 8:53:51 AM

I luckily have a brother in law that enjoys random beers and is a light user of this site. I also don’t mind drinking bud/miller/coors/wine/spirits. I don’t understand the "can’t take it back" part though. My family hounds me if I leave good beer laying around. They won’t drink it and don’t want it to go to waste. 11/5/2009 9:06:47 AM

I usually don’t drink beer on Thanksgiving. I have no problem getting stuffed and falling asleep by 4:30 without the assistance of alcohol.

Last year I did open a bottle of NG Raspberry Tart though.
