What is everyone bringing to Woodshop? I’m so excited I’m rooting throw my cellar right now.

Just one week to Woodshop 7!

Here’s a preliminary list of the artisan cheeses that we’ll be serving to help kick off the day, for those of you who are into that sort of thing. . .

Andante Rondo
Cypress Grove Humboldt Fog
Cabecou Feuille
Epoisses
Quicke’s Cheddar
Monte Enebro
Colston-Bassett Stilton

That should give us an eclectic line-up against which to pair many of the wonderful beers we’ll be enjoying that day. I’ll chime back in a bit later with a little description of each of these wonderful cheeses, just so some folks have an idea of what’s in store for us all on Sunday next week.

And here are some of the bottles I’m bringing:

Heater Allen Pils
Heater Allen Coastal Common
Heater Allen Dunkel
Heater Allen Isar Weisen
Lost Abbey Veritas 008
Lost Abbey Veritas 010
Lost Abbey Cuvee de Tomme ’09
Pizza Port Le Woody Brune
Drie Fonteinen Armand’4 Geuze Lente

Gonna add to that list after a little deep-cellar spelunking in a couple of days.

Don’t know any of those cheeses but I can’t wait to try them. I’m bringing some Japanese stuff no one probably knows:
Tamamura Honten Yamabushi Saison 1

and, so we can see just how well aged sake goes with cheese:
Kamogawa Shuzo Furu-dokei Koshu

Plus whatever doesn’t get opened the night before!

Hate being a one upper to the host, but I’m bringing......whale’s milk cheese. What better to pair with a bunch of whales at the port of Long Beach.

Does anyone know if they will be leaving Woodshop and heading anywhere in the general direction of John Wayne Airport? My flight leaves Sunday night from there, I am hoping to catch a ride to somewhere nearby the airport at worst...Im scared to imagine how much a cab ride would cost. Any idea/help would be appreciated!
