Are there any beers in your top fifty rates that actually have a pretty low overall score?

My most obvious one is Fuller’s Frontier which I rated at 3.9 (granted it was one of my first rates before I knew what I was doing really but I still like it). Its average is just 2.97.

What is it about them that you like? Or were you just in a generous mood that day?

Nothing bad on my first page - but 3 stood out.
Stone (Scotch Barreled) Crime - I rated it 4.6 and it’s average is 3.52. The bourbon versions weren’t even close.
Sam Adams Chocolate Bock - also a 4.6, averages 3.56. I’ll admit to liking the old 750 better (4.7) than the current 12 oz (4.4). Not convinced it didn’t change, but can’t complain about the price.
Deschutes The Stoic, also 4.6...averages 3.64.

On the flip side, the lowest scored beers I kinda like are
Labatt Ice - I gave it a 2.9, and it has a 1.93 average.
Molson Canadian 2.8/2.03
Sam Adams 1790 Root Beer 3.5/2.45 - the lowest ranking beer I gave a 3 or higher to.

The two worst scoring beers on my Top50 list are special Barrel Editions of BFM’s Abbaye de Saint Bon Chien Grand Cru. They both score 3.53, but only have 10 respectively 12 ratings. So they really aren’t bad at all.

Doesn’t show up on my top 50. But I do enjoy Miller Lite quite often. Rated it a 2.6. Ticked it a 3/5. But almost always have some in my fridge. Great for when you’ve got palate fatigue.

Weihenstephaner Pils; gave it a 4.5, and it’s a 3.11 on here.

I’ve got a couple in my Top 50:

Leinenkugels Orange Shandy 2.64 and I gave it a 4.8

Shock Top Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat 2.37 and I gave it a 4.7.

Bulmers Pear Cider 2.22 and I gave it a 4.8.

Seeing these now I am kind of surprised. I am generally not a very generous rater, granted I had most of these early on, but I still enjoy them. Maybe not that much but I’d still probably give them high 3’s low 4’s.

My love for pepper beers puts many on this list for me. Twisted Pine Billys Chilies is my prime example. Gave a 4.2, 2.83 average.
