Have to admit the landscape has changed quite dramatically from when I first started on my beer journey. But Iím finding my tastes havenít changed much...added US qualifier because stuff like the Trappists is a given. Also added favorite style because many have such a broad range and not all of them are good.

So, which breweries fall into the "see the name and know I will enjoy my favortite styles by them" category? My favs: Imperial Stouts, Porters, Strong Ales, Barleywines, "Belgians"...

North Coast (my first real love)

Three Floyds

Pizza Port

Stone

CCB

Goose Island

Dogfish Head

OMG Ommegang. Best Belgian style brewery over here in New York anyway. I love everything they make.

Founders is the first that comes to mind that is widely distributed. Also RR, Three Floyds, New Glarus. And locally...Tired Hands. They make amazing beer very consistently.
