Best quote: "This consistency issue does not meet 10 Barrel Brewing’s quality standards and, as a precaution, we are removing all inventory of Swill from our wholesalers and retail shelves and we are asking that consumers immediately dispose of any Swill already purchased."

I’d probably just open over the sink and drink up.

Probably not just Idaho... But my locals all pulled their stock last night.

So, someone pays for, say, a 12 pack of this beverage. The brewery screws up and tells the end consumer to throw away all of the "beer". Shouldn’t they have to refund the customer’s money? If I’d bought the damn thing, I’d damned well drink it anyway and sue the company if it injured me, and there’s no way I’d ever buy one of their products again. They want the thing back or disposed of, they need to offer me a refund or replacement, not an "Oops. Sorry you had the misfortune of spending your money on our product. Throw it out now! The power of the almighty brewing company compels you! Don’t you worry about the money you just gave us, we’ll put it to good use buying our top executive a Mercedes. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!".

I understand they didn’t do the proper amount of product testing on their product in advance, which in itself is negligent, but perhaps mildly so in this instance, but you can’t just tell consumers to throw it away or else and not offer replacement beverages of equal value, a cash refund, or some other form of compensation. That’s just a really, really sleazy move.

CCC: Perhaps you missed the last paragraph in the linked article:

"... If you have any of the potentially affected product and would like a refund, you can use the same phone number or email address.

Whoever wrote that article kind of burried that line. I didn’t see it at first either and had to edit my intial post.

I had a Swill a year ago, and it was really carbonated.
