Now here’s a subject I haven’t seen done to death on RB forums. What are some great beer/food pairings you’d recommend?

Right now, I’m having Avery’s Out of Bounds dark, roasty stout with a ham, lettuce, tomato toasted rye sandwich, and I’m pretty darn happy with this combo. I was planning on chicken stir fry for dinner, but then I had this beer, and I smelled a ham toasted sandwich coming from elsewhere, and I realized how well those two would probably go together. I replaced the stir fry dinner idea with the sandwich, and I was right: the beer and the dinner do go together!

Seaweed wrapped elk with Dogfish Head Midas Touch. It was sublime. German lagers with most mexican food.

Agree wholeheartedly regarding German lagers and Mexican food, they pair very well more often than not.

Thanks. Trying at least a couple of those recs.

Learned today that golden ales go nicely with veg and Ranch dressing, too.
