RateBeerians of the Year Awards 2014 - Nominations

Introduction:
Here we are, a 2nd year I’ve hosted these awards after sort of inheriting the torch from GT2. It’s an honor to be the host and very little will be changing this year. Here are last year’s winners.

House-keeping:
-There are 13 categories this year (up from 12 last year)
-Lifetime Achievement award will be renamed to the "Walt Powell Lifetime Achievement award"
-Winners will receive a special RB badge to use as their avatar for 2015

Timeline:
-Nominations: December 8th - 15th
-Voting: December 16th - 23rd (via SurveyMonkey)

I hope this works for everyone. Please let me know privately if it doesn’t. Please also use this thread for nominations only, so it doesn’t become a was of time. For questions/concerns, you can reach me via private message or adam@adam-jackson.net.

Rules:
-One vote per category per person
-No Alias voting. If you’re caught voting twice via an alias, both votes are thrown out
-You may not nominate yourself
-You can only nominate one RateBeerian/topic per category
-There will be no solicitation for votes / nominations. If you’re caught spamming users for votes, you will be disqualified from being nominated or voting
-Please nominate with honor. Most of us take this seriously and while a premium membership will not be required, act with respect and honor and vote as if it matters. Don’t be a d-bag.

[1] RateBeerian of the Year
To the most outstanding member of the site exemplified by leadership, humility, organization skills, real world involvement, and general site expansion and improvement.

[2] Trader of the Year
To the most outstanding trader on ratebeer as shown by their generosity, enthusiasm, and love for the community.

[3] New Member of the Year
To the most outstanding new member on ratebeer as evidenced by join date no earlier than December 8th, 2013 (NEW DATE) who exemplifies compassion, curiosity, and involvement in the community.

[4] Admin of the Year
To the ratebeer administrator that has shown unparalleled commitment to site expansion and improvement behind the scenes.

[5] Walt Powell Lifetime Achievement Award
To the ratebeer veteran who has distinguished themselves through long-term commitment to discovering the world of beer and the community within it.

[6] Thread of the Year / Post of the year (combining these categories by popular demand. OP and/or poster will receive credit)
To the most hysterical, instant classic, immortal thread/post generated this year for immense joy to others created no earlier than January 1st 2014.

[7] Rating of the Year
To the most memorable, useful, funny, insightful, or poetically crafted beer review posted no earlier than January 1st 2014.

[8] RateBeer Meme of the Year
To the best, most likely to go viral, original content theme or saying developed by RateBeerians birthed no earlier than January 1st 2014.

[9] OTLer of the Year
To the most prolific, original, and funny Off-Topic Lite sub-forum contributor.

[10] OTMer of the Year
To the most articulate, truth-seeking, and intellectual Off-Topic Medium sub-forum contributor.

[11] Troll of the Year
To the most successful internet troll to invade and conquer RateBeer this year. (If user is banned, they may not be eligible)

[12] Best Beer Festival - USA

[13] Best Beer Festival - Europe
