Because if I were to add that feature I would code it more efficiently. It’s not a matter of adding a new feature, it’s a matter of adding a new feature the right way.
Absolutely. What I’m doing is more of a prototype of ideas that may prove to be useful in the future. Since I have no access to the RateBeer database, the approach I’m using is not very efficient and would not be transferable to being used by RateBeer other than the general concept.
It is functional in the short term until RateBeer has enough volunteer labor and it bubbles up to the top of their priority list. I’m mainly just putting together miscellaneous tools to help me in trading and using the site. If others find them useful, all the better.
