Article says that they open officially on the 27th. What’s with this exclusive growler club bullshit? You pay 50 bucks a year and get a signed, 32 ounce growler, which you can refill at the brewery for 7 bucks. Not a club member? You don’t get growler fills at all. WTF? So now I need to join a special club just to gain ACCESS to over-priced growler fills?

I think it’s gonna be hard not to pronounce this place "turve". Or maybe assume it must be an acronym for something since it’s in all-caps and thus call it tee-ar-vee-ee.

If it had been called "TRVE BLVE BRVE" then maybe the V-is-a-U thing wovld have been more obviovs. Whoops, shit, that’s fvcking contagiovs!

Sure, you get five "free" growler fills, but if you take the "membership fee" into account, you could look at it this way:

You’ve paid for five fills up front AND you’ve paid 15 bucks for the growler.

I guess I can’t fault TRVE for trying to create a local fan base (CVLT!!!) but it all seems a bit ridiculous.

Yeah giving no one growler fills except people who pay for the membership seems a little excessive to me. Why deny people beer and your brewery money?

Thankfully, aside from the growler issue, it looks like their plan is just that. 4.50 pints, 1 buck tasters - not bad, really, considering those prices are below average for the area. If they have a happy hour, I’ll be sold.

Between this place and Renegade, I may just be hanging out in this area of town a lot more.
