Spring Valley golf course isn’t worth the drive unless you are playing golf.

Indeed is adding an overflow taproom in an adjacent space. More info here: http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/2015/05/22/indeed-brewing-expands-new-taproom-minneapolis.html

The India Palace Burnsville brewpub plan has a name, Nutmeg, and a targeted opening month, September. More info here: http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/morning_roundup/2015/05/1-million-plus-brew-pub-planned-for-burnsville.html This will be one of the few brewpubs to open in the post-Surly Bill era.

On the subject of new brewpubs, Tavern Brewery at Lakeside Tavern Detroit Lakes (outside of the metro area) is open. It doesn’t yet have its own beer on tap but hopes to by the end of summer.

Correction: Flat Earth’s taproom is not yet open. The report on which I was relying was inaccurate. I stopped by on Friday and spoke to one of the owners, and he says they are several weeks out at minimum from opening the taproom (which is the same story they’ve been telling for almost a year). The taproom will be a different room from the one in which they currently give free samples and sell growlers.

It looks like the new 56 Brewing in Nordeast Minneapolis will be getting a taproom after all:

"The brewery recently applied for a permit for a seasonal taproom that will include a few tables inside the brewery and a cordoned-off area in the brewery’s small garden."

56 is open now, serving free samples and selling growlers on site and distributing kegs to bars.

I can’t even keep up and I’m loving every minute of it.

F-Town in Faribault started tweeting about a week ago, revealed a couple of can designs (slicker than I would have expected, and it’s news to me that they’ll have a canning line from the start) for Ipalicious IPA and Nutso Nut Brown Ale, and started brewing earlier today. I don’t see an ETA on the taproom opening.

Man, I cannot wait to get back to Minnesota. It’s nice to see all of these tap rooms springing up since I have been gone. I am going to put some effort into planning my next visit to the home state. Thank you Islay for starting this thread (or at least keeping it fresh).

"Taproom opening early July." It will have a patio.

I think I’ve somehow neglected to mention Valhalla Nordic Smoke & Ale House in Willernie (northeastern suburb). It will be a brewpub, and it is open now as a restaurant and bar. Its own beers have not yet debuted. (Note that Opinion Brewing in Newport and Schwietz Saloon similarly are open and operating as bars with brewing operations in planning). Valhalla has a very small brewing system, just 1 barrel if I recall correctly.

Outside of the metro area, in southeastern Minnesota, under our noses, Riverside on the Root, and longstanding restaurant in Lanesboro, has been operating as a brewpub for almost a year. It’s not yet in the RateBeer database. Hat tip to Chaz at the other site.
