Twin Cities Area Brewpubs and Taprooms plus Minnesota Breweries-in-Planning 2016

Wicked Wort in Robbinsdale announced they will open Jan 22nd, per many city council, mayoral and local Facebook posts.

Its a short drive and long stumble from my house. Will check it out soon.

Any idea on what they are and what time?

Since the majority of people have never heard of 56, and couldn’t find it if they had, you shouldn’t have to line up for this one.

Don’t mind their beers that I had when I visited though. Nice people. There was a doge.

In "It’s Not A Brewery, But..." news, Urban Forage Winery and Cider House is now open on Saturdays from 2 to 6 p.m. on East Lake Street in Minneapolis. Urban Forage (not to be confused with Urban Growler in St. Paul or Forager in Rochester) produces wine and cider (as the name suggests) as well as mead. As far as I can tell, the cider is true cider, not graff (cider/beer hybrid) like Sociable Cider Werks makes.

Wabasha in St. Paul plans a March opening for its new, larger taproom in a different part of its current building. After the new taproom opens, Wabasha will tear up the space currently being used as its taproom and install additional brewing equipment in its place.

Some notables (most of these were on my list, but it appears that I need to remove them):

Blue Wolf has been canceled.
Character is on hold.
Chaz mentions Gray Duck. I believe that was the working name for Fair State.
Gray/Grey Fox was the original name for Able.
Mr. McGeasil has been backburnered.
Pondscum has been canceled. (Nooooooo!)

Angry Inch in Lakeville is trying to shoot for a Feb. opening but most likely be sometime in March and Broken Clock is having a tasting party https://www.facebook.com/events/1670122233260630/

"The news you’ve all been waiting for! We will be opening the taproom doors on Friday, January 29. Hours on Friday will be 6 to midnight and Saturday January 30 noon to midnight. Our normal hours will be Thursdays 4-10, Fridays 4-midnight and Saturdays noon to midnight. We will be closed on Saturday Feb.6 for the Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival so please look for us there!"

The official address says Belle Plaine, but I believe the brewery actually is in tiny nearby Blakeley; I’m guessing this is a postal service technicality. Belle Plaine and Blakeley are southwest exurbs about half-way between Minneapolis and Mankato.
