Would really like to try this hot topic in the forum: Oceanside Ale Works Daliesque or something like it.

Since I’m isolated out in the country, did I miss somebody around here making and selling unblended lambic, like the ones from the old country?

Horny, beerman, lith? Probably John has made a few?

If you can get Cantillon near you, try Iris or Bruocsella Grand Cru for an idea of the style. But the classic unblended lambic is only available on draft in Belgium, and even then, in limited places.

Rivertown makes one that might be easier to get: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/rivertown-lambic/142646/
I don’t think it’s very good, but it has decent ratings.

Thanks trav, I haven’t seen this at Vintage yet, but will keep my eyes open. I can get the Cantillon, but was looking for a cheaper local variety.

Hey Dennis, James brought a bottle of the Rivertowne Lambic to the last tasting and it did not get opened so I still have it. We should definitely try it at the next one. Other than that, the only local brewery that would possibly make something like that right now is Draai Laag, though others could be on the way.

There’s no such thing as non-Belgian lambic.
