Objectivity be damned, when a beer is so bad (or so good) it should incite some type of emotion or use of superlatives. I also had the good(?) fortune of trying this brew and the review is pretty accurate. |

I’m surprised no other brewer has chimed in, but here ya go... Don’t post a review you wouldn’t tell the brewer to his face. I’ve had some real douchbag reviews that genuinely had little to do with the beer. They usually end with..."I really am not a fan of this style". If you’re not a fan of the style, why buy the beer. Why subject yourself to an unpleasant experience? My favorite rating began with the words, and I kid you not, "Fuck this beer". Same beer is currently rated 97.I later ran into the gentleman who posted the rating and after letting him sweat it out for an hour or so I gave him another bottle to rate. I didn’t belittle or berate him. He did that to himself. Just keep in mind that the beer your rating is the result of someone’s passion, sweat and blood. And there is a secret brewers society that knows where you live... It knows your kids and wife’s schedules. they can and will find you... |
Originally posted by flabeer I also noted that four people who have posted in this thread have tried the beer, and even though there is only one rating, all four share generally the same opinion. That’s a little snapshot of real life. For everyone speaking up on a beer site, there are many more consumers out there who will just never buy your beer again and never tell you why. |
PBR wins awards too.... |
