I have mentioned that to them multiple times. Also showed them the pics of the guy that picked up 91 bottles of the (last?) release. Not an issue they want to address, apparently.
For what itís worth, I know said individual and he just offered to pick up all the bottles for that particular tasting group on his day off. There is probably close to 15 people in that group, so I am sure you can understand why there was so many bottles.
I donít mean to imply that your friend had any nefarious intent at all. Just that, understanding any system can be gamed, a system that lets one person walk in and buy 91 bottles (or 180 bottles in urbancaverís case) when production numbers are so slow is a system that is super-ripe for gaming, and might could use some tweaking IMO.
Its their business, and obviously they can run it as they see fit, and I at least partially understand why they arenít quick to change it. Just kind of a bummer for us long time supporters. But hey, its a whole new beer world out there. Live and let live.
