Hi guys,
I’m visiting Japan for a few weeks next month if anyone would like to meet up for a beer or two! Will be my second trip to Japan, mostly stuck around Tokyo for a week last year with a day trip to Kamakura. Have been reading through the threads on here for beer places and picked up the Craft Beer in Japan book.
December 1-2 - Tokyo (Arrive Dec 1 afternoon from DC)
December 3-4 - Hiroshima
December 5-8 - Nagasaki/Fukuoka
December 9-15 - Kyoto/Osaka area
December 16-18 - Tokyo/Day trip(s) to Kiuchi Brewery and Chateau Kamiya
December 19-20 - Yokohama (Possibly a daytrip to other areas in Kanagawa Prefecture)
December 21-22 - Tokyo (Leaving from Narita on Dec 22)
Other than the 18th for the tour at Kiuchi, December 16-22 is flexible between Tokyo and Yokohama.

More than happy to meet up for a beer or three. I am in Tokyo. I am away from the 18th, but should be able to meet up before then.
Are you up for an in-person-trade? We can discus details over Beermail if you are interested.
Also note, if your dates aren’t set in stone, we might have a good beer event on the evening of December 14th. Details and date should be firmed up by mid-November.
I can meet up on the 1st or 2nd later at night, ie. 9pm in the Roppongi/Shimbashi/Hamamatsucho area.

Fukuoka,but only on the 8th.

Am also up for some beers when you are in Kyoto, keep me posted and if you want to do a trade that might be cool. I am keen to try the Westbrook Gose, anything from Troegs/Cigar City as I have yet to sample any of their beers or whatever’s your local favorite.
Then again Kyoto is kind of far down in your trip so if you don’t wanna trade that is cool. Am up for a beer either way and if there are any beer events around then I will keep you posted. |
Sounds good all! Won’t have phone service but I’m renting portable wifi and will have some messaging capability (iMessage, LINE, WhatsApp) if it’s easier to coordinate meeting up while I’m in Japan.
Probably won’t bring a lot but I’ll see what I can bring to trade/share. Might just bring a mixed six pack or two of cans to spread around. Feel free to Beermail me to discuss.
