First, apparently it’s called w00tstout 2015. Second, how it’s different enough to get it’s own listing but 2.0 isn’t baffles me, but whatever. Third, lots of 2015 bottle ratings going under original listing. |
Originally posted by furthur it may still be aliased. Hopefully, a CA admin will take a look at it soon. |
Sounds like 2015 had a portion aged longer in bourbon barrels and they used somewhat of a Solera style by adding a portion of last year’s batch to the mix. I think the Solera alone would warrant a new listing, but I could be wrong. |
I hope this is sorted out soon while I can still find bottles if it is in fact a new rate. |
If solera warrants a new entry why are the Bruery anniversary beers not all new rates? |

I don’t think it’s really a solera thing, but I’m waiting to hear back from someone to verify exactly what it is (anyone with a good link please post it). From what I understand this one contains a bit of last year’s batch that has been aging longer. Not sure if that is enough to make it a new beer or not, but I’ll wait to hear more before making any kind of judgment. |
I just put my rating under the original, but I was curious about this situation, too. Never having had it the first time, I just figured that was the right thing to do for the time being. |

Hi, any news? New entry? Thanks. |
