Which quad is your favorite? I’ve done blind taste tests in the past and they all come up comparable to me with St. Bernardus coming out slightly ahead. Which do you prefer?

I prefer the westy based on taste, but St. Bernardus is the best bang for your buck. It’s almost as tasty as the westy 12, easily accessible, and much less expensive.

Westy is the best but given the degree of difficulty in getting a regular supply I fall back on Rochefort. It’s much easier to get and is about 96% as good.

I’ll take Rochefort from this list. Bernardus second, Westy third. Yes... Westy third. But I’d take Russian River Mortification over any of those.

Still haven’t been able to try a Westy. Among the other two, I slightly prefer Rochefort.

On the last two occasions that we’ve done this test blind Rochefort 10 has ran out the winner with Westy 2nd and St Bernie 3rd. I’m happy with that though want to repeat the test with a bit of age on the three bottles as this is where I think that the Westy will truly shine.

Westy 12 is my fave. Most refined, and least sweet.

I slightly prefer Rochefort 10 over the others, but as Westvleteren isn’t easy to come by most of the time, every time I open one is a treat (when aged properly).
