I just had the Mendocino Talon Barley Wine. I was pleasantly surprised. For a normally mediocre brewer, they made a decent beer with Talon. The best thing was the price, a 22 oz. for $4.29. For that money, I’ll probably pick up a few of these and age them.

Just got back from a night out with the guys. Among others, had a couple of local OK brews (Coop DNR and Marshall IPA). Boulevard Sixth Glass quad and Double Wide IPA. Blanche de Namus. Closed it out with a Sam Adams Chocloate Bock.
Not a bad night.
