Probably the best brewery in the city right now is Other Half in Brooklyn, since they do not distribute(other than to a few local spots), I guess you could consider that rare as well. Eastern District usually has some good stuff, like Bourbon County and Alpine Duet recently. Finally, St. Gambrinus has good items, not sure if I would consider any of it rare, maybe for NYC many are.
