They’re not all the same

"This is an incredible stout at 18%. All I can say is wow--I wasn’t expecting that!! It is like drinking a 12 oz shot of Jager."

I might actually get my wife to get a RB acount because of this. Now she just keeps track of the beers she’s had with the notepad on her phone.

smith4498 - not a bad idea! I have a few friends that I don’t think would ever get into writing ratings for beer but are very much in to trying new beers. A few of them have commented about forgetting which they’ve tried. Perhaps ticking on here is for them?

Ticks are also good if you’re too drunk to actually rate a beer, but still want to keep track of it, say if you were at a beer tasting, Beerfest, or just too drunk at a bar. A good example would be this user http://www.ratebeer.com/user/130905/ on 10/28.

Any chance of having a check box next to beers that you tick on searches or brewers pages? We already have check boxes for beers that you rate. A tick could be something like a blue check mark to differentiate between a rate and a tick. Just a thought

Folks may want to read one of the other previous threads on the ticks feature - this was unveiled over two months ago.

What are the chances - I was just going to post in the forum about ticking versus rating since I rated mischief, saw his rating, and thought to myself how does that count as a rating...wouldn’t it just be a tick? Glad I am not too far off the deep end.
