I think if you include chains and the breweries in the suburbs, there are something like 13-14 breweries in the greater Jacksonville (FL) area. I live closest to Intuition and Bold City, about 5-10 minutes from each depending on traffic (they’re basically across the street from each other).

Just outside DC in suburban Virginia. Ignoring the nation-wide corporate owned places...

Within 15 miles: Sweetwater Tavern, Mad Fox Brewing Company, Capitol City Brewing, Port City Brewing

Within 25 miles: Lost Rhino Brewing, DC Brau, Chocolate City Beer, 3 Stars Brewing, Franklin’s Brewpub

Potentially coming this year to DC: Right Proper Brew Pub, Bardo Rodeo Brewpub, Atlas Brew Works, Bluejacket

I’ve become a bit introverted with my beer purchasing for home consumption. Harder and harder for me to look elsewhere when I have so many local options to chose from.

Pretty fortunate to live in Redlands, CA which has a good number of breweries all within a reasonable drive:

w/in 5 minutes of Ritual Brewing, Hangar 24 and Donkey Punch
w/in 20 minutes of Packinghouse, IEBC, Mission, Dale Bros., Claremont Craft Ales and I & I Brewing
w/in 1 hour of Stone, Lost Abbey, Port, Ballast Point, and Green Flash(among many others in San Diego County) and Old Orange Brewing, Noble Ale Works, Alcatraz, Bootlegger’s, The Bruery, and Tustin Brewing(Orange County)....just to name a few....

Within 30 minutes of my house: Surly, Summit, Excelsior, Flat Earth, Indeed, Northbound, Dangerous Man, Pour Decisions, Town Hall, Barley John’s, Herkimer, Rock Bottom Minneapolis, Great Waters, Fulton, Lucid, Boom Island, Steel Toe. And I’ll reluctantly toss in Granite City.

I live a four block walk/10 minute stroll from Yards. Love that place.

I’m fairly lucky...i live near a bunch or breweries, brewpubs, and brewcafes. Tired Hands, Forrest and Main, Victory, Sly Fox, Iron Hill (multiple locations), McKenzie’s, Earth Bread Brewery, Yards, Dockstreet, Philadlephia Brewing Co., Triumph, Nodding Head, and a Rock Bottom. All of these are within driving distance and I’m sure I missed a couple. And Troeg’s, Selin’s Grove, and Bullfrog are but a 3-4 hour trip away. And Boxcar is practically in my backyard but there beer is a close second to a bottle of warm moose piss.

We are totally spoiled here in Philly, but I think the OP’s question is which is closest or something similar to that. Boxcar sounds like your closest (and it pretty much sucks). Not which breweries are in your vicinity.

From my house De Koninck, used to pass it by when going to school & university, maybe 15 min or so away by public transport.
Duvel-Moortgat is not that far away either as is Westmalle.
Cantillon is the closest one from work.

I finally have two breweries in shooting distance, neither I care to comment on.
