Rating as a place to go before ball games. It’s always busy, the staff is overwhelmed and doesn’t really make an effort, and the pours are small for the money (they don’t even make an effort to fill the undersized plastic cups w or w/o a head). Beer can be hit or miss.

Both of my recent visits were before ballgames at AT&T Park so the place was very busy before and after the game.Despite that the hardworking server found me a table. Good selection of beers and good food. Service was excellent

Visited on 5 Feb 2013 during ’Big Beer Week’ where nearly all the brews on offer were on the strong side. The actual place is basic and fairly large: looks smaller and compact from the street. Bar and drinking area as you walk in: an eating area with a raised portion at the back behind the bar its self. I had two flights of five draughts: all nine on-tap beers available on the day and a Two Rivers Cider. All in good condition, even if i wasn’t too excited by a couple of the brews. Lass behind the bar worked hard and looked after me, to food was good too. I wasn’t expecting such a high bill though.

My favorite brew pub in SF. Always changing taps and dishes, rarely a line and a great place to hang out with your techy soma coworkers after work. they put watermelon in their beers :)

Very fresh and light place with a nice selection of their own beers. Some of the staff were very friendly, others weren’t. Good food.

Very centrally located brew pub in San Francisco, close to the peers. Beers are above average, food is good too. Restaurant in the basement and a bar with TV in the first floor. Not sure if the brewery is on site.

Sometimes great beer, sometimes mediocre beer, this place can be hit or miss. It’s worth asking for a sip before you drop the $7+ on a pint or less pour. Food can similarly vary in quality, but also tends on the pricy side. When it’s good it’s worth the price, but again, hit or miss. Worth a stop if you’re nearby.

Been coming here whenever in SF to check out the new beers. Its on the way back to Caltrain and its close to the ball park.

Beers are sometimes hits but mostly too sweet. I do appreciate their experimentation and the fact that they do hops well. My major complaint is that everything is really expensive. At least they offer samples now but still, expect to pay $20 to get a pint’s worth of tasters.

The food is pretty good and the people are friendly. So its not a bad place to have dinner. Also Strong Beer Month (February) and the BRU/SFO project (NOV) are fun.

Stopped in for a beer after a long day walking around SF. Cool place in a modern space between 80 and the ballpark. They had 8 of their own beers- half seasonals, half stuff they can- and two guests. Plus they had 5 cans, so there was some overlap. Bartender was fine. We didn’t eat or see a menu. Prices were a bit high- $4.50 for the usuals, $6-$8 for 13 oz. pours of the seasonals- but we ended up there during happy hour so the beers were a little less than menu price. Overall, a solid but unspectacular place if you’re in the neighborhood but not an essential Bay Area spot.

Nice selection of drafts, not particularly friendly or memorable atmosphere. Then again, we were there for the beer. And we got that. So, no complaints.
