A little out of the way, but a cool location. Looks like an old west saloon and a small old west town. When I visited they had around 6 beers on tap, all pretty good. I was disappointed that they didnít have any bottles to-go. I mean, isnít it weird that a brewery that bottles beer, doesnít sell those bottles at the brewery. But whatever the case, its still a really cool place and definitely worth checking out. The only downside is the location is a little out of the way.

We were out there for a cask fest and the staff was thoroughly accommodating. Great fake Old West town set up, comfortable tasting room, friendly staff. Nice place to visit.

In the cool, fake Old West Town, the tasting saloon has moved across the path into an even bigger tasting saloon. Nice wooden bar with several of the house beers on tap. Sandwiches. You can golf, too. Ask about the par-3 course. Casual and eccentric place, befitting the personality of the brewer and his beers.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Off the beat and path somewhat, but a nice place to visit. Lisa was behind the bar and was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. Had 6 beers on tap, wish there had been more. We tried 3 of them, all were very good. Would definitely return. The brewery is on adjoining property, would be neat ot spend a weekend there. Well worth the trip.

Part of a conference center/retreat type place complete with a pool and golf course. The last time I went for a festival there and also spent the night at the attached hotel/bed and breakfast. 2nd Shift makes outstanding beers and this a great place to visit when the weather is nice. They had eight beers on inside the large bar area during the festival.

A few miles past New Haven off hwy 100 sits 2nd Shift. Like phaleslu said there are 2 old timey buildings. One houses the brewery and then other is their new awsome bar area. From the outside the building looks like nothing but once you walk in wow. Lots of dark wood with a decent copper top bar with a tin roof above you. On the lower level there is a pool table and then the exit onto a back porch. The beers on tap are all good and well above par. There was only 4 on tap when I arrived (cat spit, unicorn killer, el gato and wheat freak) but one blew and they put on ratsalad IPA and I was happy. The also have food, mostly sandwiches from locally produced meats and veggies. I did not have any but what I saw looked good. The best part about this place besides the beers is the grounds. 2nd shift is on the property of the Cedar Creek Conference center. There are rooms available from a kinda motel looking thing to large old homes with 4 or 5 bedrooms. Lots of area for relaxation and just staring at nature. This would be the perfect place for a quick weekend getaway especially in fall.

2nd Shift brewing is on the fringe of New Haven, which is a little over an hour from downtown St. Louis. The brewery is tucked in an old west town-style conference center that has a winding gravel drive. The whole place is kind of crazy and surreal- a small hotel with a pool are off to the right and on the left are a few buildings that look like an old ghost town; brown wood paneled sides and windows, with a gravel path going through it all. Behind those are a 9-hole golf course. The brewery has a tasting room in front- the brewery itself seems accessible from around the side and back- with a very new, clean interior. A small bar is tucked under a staircase that leads to a mezzanine with a couple tables, and there are several tables on the main floor. A small window around the side looks over the brewing operation. The staff is awesome, just a few guys who absolutely know their stuff and are as cool and friendly as can be. Looks like they had 6-8 taps or so but only 4 on when we visited. 2nd Shift beers are excellent, and every style they do is worth trying. Theyíre at about 30+ accounts around the STL area now but this place is definitely worth a visit if you can make it out this way or string it together with a few other breweries for a day trip; we paired it with Augusta, but Gruhlke and Tin Mill are not far west of New Haven. 2nd Shift also hosts weekend tasting/golf outing/overnight events once or twice a year, and I hear those are a blast. Great place.
