One of the better brew pubs in Australia with a decent view of the wharf. $3 tasters for all beers, they have the 5 regulars and 3 brewpub one off’s. Service was nice and knowledgable. The downside was very very poor food, generic offerings and not executed nicely.

Visited on 7th April 2016. It’s a couple of minutes walk from the ferry terminal and has a nice view of the harbour. It’s on the 1st floor and has inside and outside seating. Food is pretty good. The beer range showcases the core range plus Keller Door small batch releases. The beers are pretty solid. It’s a nice place to get to with the ferry and a decent spot for beer. Recommend a visit here.

Nice vibe at Manly beach, right near the station. Decent selection of in-house brews. Some better than others, overall decent. Slow service, and food’s on the expensive side, but the food is good and they do flights!

Part of a craft beer tour with friends. Had a cool vibe and beers were solid.

I stayed for 5 days in Manly for work purposes. This was the only place I could find in the area that allowed you to have a smoke with a drink in your hand. It has a balcony with radiant heaters that shuts at 10pm. Didn’t try the food but it has all the regular beers (brewed off site at their main brewery in Brookvale) plus the Keller Door small batch releases (possibly brewed on site - the best being their English style Best Bitter on hand pump). Approx $10 a pint. Gets quite crowded at weekends. Worth the trip even if staying in CBD (located across the road from Manly Wharf - about 30mins from Circular Quay by ferry with good harbour views). Manly Beach itself is actually a 10 min stroll from here (full of surfers).

Just across the road from the ferry. Open brewpub facing the water. They have all their regular beers of course but the reason to come to the brewpub is the Celllar Door stuff, which is a lot harder to find. Good patio overlooking Manly Beach. First time here they had poutine on the menu, second time I heard Quebecois French so I’m sensing a theme.

One more visit on Mon Oct 12, 2015. Arrived around 3 or 4 pm, had a sample paddle of the 5 Keller Doors they had one, plus a sample of the stout and ate a pulled pork burger. Happy to see so many new beers this visit, also a mead among them actually! Very fast and friendly service. I’ll go back again if I can. Very short walk from where the Sydney ferry comes in. tasting rack $17, burger $17.

Visited on July 14, 2013.
Took the ferry from Sydney to Manly, nice ride there in the day, and to the lights of the Sydney harbour coming home at night. Think the ferry was just short of $15 return.
Walk off the ferry and out of the terminal, cross the first road, turn right. You’ll see a black sign with white print stating "micro brewery" just up the road. It will be on your left hand side coming from the ferry.
They had 7 beers (well, 6 beers + 1 cider). Tasting paddle of 5 for $15. Single tasters cost $3, very nicely thought for us beer nerds out beer hunting. Tasting paddle was great looking too.
Beers not served as horribly cold as most other places in this country.
Didn’t eat but had the 7 different drinks they had available. Brewery visible behind glass. Fairly big indoors and smaller outdoors seating. A flight of stairs to get up to the place from the street. No WiFi.

Visited on 12th September 2015. Vibrant brew pub and kitchen overlooking Manly beach. Rocking atmosphere (it was Saturday night). I met drinkers both local and from as far off as Belgium. The 4 Pines standard range plus constantly changing Keller Door Specials on tap, plus a food menu to please all palates - you simply MUST try their awesome pie! Only a few steps away from the ferry port it is worth taking the boat from Circular Quay just to come to 4 Pines. Great place!

Been here a couple of times now and always enjoyed it. Good to be able to try some of their specials and one-offs. The food was good and the overall atmosphere excellent.

Nice small brewery right near the ferry wharf. Five flagship brews and some one offs. Food available, but I did not try. Inside and outside seating available.

If you live on the Beaches chances are there’s a 4 Pines tap in your local. I’ve tried a handful of their offerings at various locations further north and in bottle but this was the first time I’d visited the home of 4 Pines despite having been to Manly many a time and not living that far, all things considered. A little hard to find a seat and darkly lit where we were but good enough for one glass though a long stay wouldn’t have been on the cards nor would dining. The range is fine and made all the better given the specials and one-off taps they offer alongside their regular line-up with prices in keeping with Manly. Service also fine given that it was on quite a busy Easter Monday. Also a cider and ginger beer on tap for those so inclined. A must if you’re in the area.
