Itís cool to see such a modern complex like this in tiny Bozeman. In the same building as 406 is a distillery, a kombucha maker, and a sushi restaurant. Out back is a communal patio where all beverages may travel to. 406 is up front in the complex and has its own open tasting room with rustic, wooden furnishings. The beer list was pretty decent. I just had a summer rye ale which was very well made. I wish I had the opportunity to drink more of their catalog. Beer prices are right in line with Bozeman, aka cheap. They do offer pizzas. We had just eaten but the pies looked genuinely great.

Last stop of the night. Doing a pretty brisk business for a Wednesday evening. Nice decor, with a long bar and lots of tables. Live music as well. 7 beers on tap when I was there, all avail in tasters, half pints, pints, or 32oz and 64 oz growlers. Staff was friendly, if a bit overworked. Taster flight ran $8, which is a pretty darn good deal, IMO. They did have some food, mainly pizzas, but I did not partake. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the beer; all seemed average or worse, with the exceptions of the Hop Punch and the Runoff Brown, which were solid.

I really wanted to like this place. The scene and the staff were great. In fact the only thing it lacked was great beer and selection. The brown ale was pretty good, but the rest were rough around the edges.

VIsited on a Tuesday night in January. Nice ambiance with the stainless steell brewing equipment visible and a long l-shaped, reclaimed wood bar. Quite a few people present -- a nice mix of college students and "older folks" -- all seemed to be having a good time, grooving to the live music and enjoying the quite good beers.

Great local spot to drink some nice fresh and clean beers. Service is top notch and the steel and woodwork in the brewery kicks ass.

Very cool place in a big building with various other business. Inside is open with lots of seating and a decent sized bar. They had a sign basically saying they couldnít keep up with demand. They only had 4 beers on tap all of which were Pale/IPA type offerings. The beer was not very good in my opinion besides the session beer. The bigger beers were sweet under attenuated caramel bombs. This place has great potential though and would stop in again if Iím in the area.

Visited July 4th ... Thankfully open (unlike some other businesses). Classic American industrial microbrewery tasting room. Four unique offerings on tap. Montana rules apply (3 beers per visit). Beers were OK to very good. The one man staff was as efficient and effective as he could. Would return. (Brewery #580)

Brand new brewery. The place was packed which is always a good sign. They only had 3 beers and are constantly running out of beer. The guy working the bar said they are still trying to figure out which beers should be their mainstays by customer reactions which is a great idea I think. He said they will be doing many different beers for a while to figure it out. I canít wait to come back to this place in a year or so and see how theyíve turned out.
