Stopped in prior to World Cup party. Nice draft list but no bottles. Service was nice but I overheard him recommend a 12% barley wine to woman holding baby so I chimed in saying it was really strong and she switched to more motherly brew. Ambiance is awesome laid back vibe a little hipster but it is Brooklyn. Food looked solid. I wish this was my apartment but since not the case Iíll just visit when in neighborhood

This is a great spot on a Sunday, with kids, for a sandwich. Itís big open craft Brooklyn with lots of no pretense style and good design. The draft menu quite respectable. I know some of the bartenders are homebrewers. Super comfortable.

Came to 61 local for the ice cider / cheese pairing during NYC cider week 2012. Nice big open space with lots of picnic tables and average bar space. Tall ceilings, good music, friendly service.

Located right outside the G/F stop on Bergen St. Large, spacious interior with bar seating, picnic tables and high tables/stools. Dim lighting. Candles on the tables. Friendly service. No waiters or waitresses, though, so everything is done at the bar. Thatís fine with me. Cash only, which I donít think is acceptable for a place of business in 2012. Decent selection of almost exclusively local craft beers (Sixpoint, Barrier, etc.). All taps, no bottles sold. Food menu looked great, but I did not eat anything besides horseradish pickles, which I thought were awesome. Want to try the grilled cheese next time with spicy pickle relish. We went on an off Wed night, so it wasnít crowded, but I can see it being a pain to get up and get drinks when itís crowded on a weekend. Biggest pros were location, pleasant employees and the space to stretch out (at least on a Wed). Also the fact that they have neighborhood homebrewers in there sampling out their creations for cheap (they have a folding table set up for that, separate from the bar itself). Biggest cons are the fact that itís cash only and that they donít have a TON of beers to choose from. Would love a bottle list and proper glassware (everything was served in a shaker or, in the case of the beer float Erica got, a wine glass). Bathrooms are clean.
