A nice brewpub in a beautiful corner of Vienna. The highlight surely is the location with a big cosy, traditional room with a bar in the middle, dominated by the brew kettles. In summer you can also sit in a beautiful courtyard under a massive tree. The food is good, although the selection isn’t extensive. The service isn’t the best unfortunately, not very friendly or knowledgable staff. The beer is very good, with focus on traditional European styles and they always have a seasonal beer, mostly a Bock, which is always worth a try. Strangely, this is one of the very few places in Vienna, where you get a traditional Vienna style lager (although they call it Märzen). And they propably have the best smoke beer in Austria, the seasonal Winterrauchbock, a smoke bock, which is available right now, in winter after christmas. Another highlight is the beer automat at the entrance!

A crowded brewpub with interesting delicious beers and fast service. Unfortunately the food selection isn’t very wide. The beer automate is amazing.

Very nice ambiance. Service very slow, ’cause it was crowded. Despite they only sell their own beers, they were very good.

Excellent beers. Love the Rauchbier and India Pale Ale. Food is good but not stunning. Service is a bit indifferent which unfortunately is typical of Vienna.

One of my favorite stops in Vienna, as they had several German-style beers at decent prices and a nice atmosphere. Bottles were available to go.

Stopped in for lunch .. this place gets busy with tourist groups but the service was still good ... great selection on their own brews (pretty good). Also have their beers available in a vending machine at the enterance. Food was good as well plus they have lunch specials with were $2E-$6E ... we would return for sure.

Cozy brewpub. Decent own beers, sadly the special bocks was not available when i visit there. But nice place to sit down and drink their own beers.

A lively and fairly atmospheric place off the beaten Vienna track. It wss nontheless packed on a Monday evening. The table service wss pretty quick, the beers passable (the Pale Ale laughably sweet). The food arrived pretty promptly and was tasty if very stodgy even by Austrian standards. What pissed me off about thos place was what happened when I tried to use the novel beer vending machine near the exit. It neither vended my beer nor gave me a refund. I went back in to the bar and told the guy behind the bar what happened. He referred me to a short man with grey hair at the back of the bar. This bloke refused to come over and just shrugged and waved his hands in the air. So I had to go see him. When I told him I got more shrugging of shoulders and general ’what’sit got to do with me?’ attitude. Other staff gathered, more gesticulating and shrugging ensued. I was told the machine was ’kaput’. No shit Sherlock! I had to ask again for them to eithed give me the beer I wanted or give me refund. More gesticulation and more shrugging. Finally the grey haired short man reluctantly reached in to his leather purse and plonked4 euros in my hand. No apology, no smile, nothing! Well excuse the fuck out of me that your machine doesn’t work and I am so very sorry for bringing this to your attention and requesting you take up valuble shrugging time to do something about it. Rank rank attitude!
