Pretty good craft beer selection for a music venue, decent selection of local DMV beers along with other brews from around the country. Havenít been to the Backbar but there are two bars on the main show floor along with one on the upper floor, the latter of which has a small seating area facing the stage. Food is about average, recommend eating before if you can. Bit pricy but not bad for the selection compared to other venues. The live music is pretty much the reason to come here, beer is just a decent perk despite the prices.

Fun bar. Go in before a show, toss back a few drinks, then go into the show before the other ticket holders. A good idea before any show.

Concert venue that usually offers a little more than just the regulars, but not really a "destination".

You donít go here for the beer, you go here for the show. Itís nice that they have a decent selection.

You canít "go" here per se unless you are here for a concert. This is an admission only venue and a pretty famous one at that sporting everyone from Lady Gaga to Smashing Pumpkins to GWAR to Citizen Cope. I mean everyone. And the taplist inside is not too shabby. Usually they North Coast Old Rasputin and Oud Beersel Framboise among other things like Troegs, Victory, even Stillwater! Check out their menu and scroll to the bottom here: http://www.930.com/menu/. Cool place. They do have food, but it is very average. Donít be surprised if the prices are higher, as it is essentially buying beer at a pro sports game or the like. Pay a premium to have great beer in an unlikely place. Lines can be long so donít wait until intermission or when everyone has arrived to get a drink.

Wow. Surprised to see this place listed here. I have been once for a Girl Talk show 3 or 4 years ago. I was with a friend and we were tripping on mushrooms. I donít think I got a beer I was too busy dancing. crazy show.

Great place to watch a show at. You shouldnít be going for the beer, so if anything, the wider-than-to-be-expected selection is really just a bonus. Unless the band happens to suck, that is.

Great place to see live music, small theater setting with some good shows. Surprisingly good beer selection for a place of its kind, but come here for the music, not the beer.

saw ratatat here in april 2009. show was great! the bar was a nice little surprise, as they have quite a good selection for this type of place. they have at least 10 brews on tap. the weird thing is that a pint of old rasputin costs the same as a pint of yuengling (granted, youíre getting about 4oz less in the cup they serve the Old Rasputin in, but really, $7 for an Old Rasputin on tap is a good price. $7 for yueng is not!). obviously, you donít come here for the brew, you come for the show, but at least know they have some good brews for you to enjoy while you rock out!

This is a great concert venue first and foremost. With that being said, you are going to pay an exuberant amount of money for beer. The selection, however, is remarkably good.
