One of the stops for RBWG... not quite open yet for brewing, but will be open shortly as a bar. This is the best looking and nicest bar/brewery/anything in Jacksonville. Holy crap this place is awesome. The owner(s) is(are) awesome, the brewer is awesome, the brewery is awesome, and the beers are awesome. This will definitely become a must stop in Jacksonville, no joke. Keep your eyes peeled in the next week or two...
Update: They are now open and this place is awesome. This is a must stop on your trip to Jax. Currently doing 10-gal pilot batches, but full batches soon to come.
Really cool place. Nice redone old building. Awesome bar area with some quieter offshoot rooms. Nice outdoor area to hang out. Lots of their own beers on tap (had 3 sours they had on tap, they were well made and nice but not world class by any means, didnít try any of their others). Food truck in the parking lot for me tasty food to go with the beers. Great place. Would go back for sure and would love to try many more of their beers.
2-22-2013 as part of RBWG. They are not officially opened yet as they are waiting on a permit. They have five beers on tap - two sours, one flemish red, 1 belgian double, and one belgian dark. This is a brick interior building with seating at the bar and at tables. I had the belgian double and it is very good. A brewery worth stopping at and one that I would revisit.
Iíve been back a couple times. Very nice place to visit with a quality selection of house-brewed beers. Tasting room remains impressive.
I really enjoyed my visit here during the RBWG 2013. Theyíve done a very nice job with their interior and the bar. New, bright, welcoming. Female staff is certainly easy on the eyes and they know their craft beer. Canít wait for this place to officially open its doors and also canít wait for them to start brewing beer they can sell. The selection is currently minimal, but the quality is sky high. I hate driving 4 hours north to Jacksonville, but Iíll do it once or twice a year once this place is open and churning out quality beers.
Ambiance: Decent place with that old reclaimed brick building feel but modernized on the inside, wide open with tables everywhere and a side room for more seating. Long bar that can hold 20+ patrons at once
Service: Bartenders were very friendly, willing to tell you about the different beers, offered to show me around the back with the brewing equipment
Selection: solid selection of 15 different beers on tap across the various styles, had several IPAs and several Saisons on tap, but they were solid beers, Even grabbed two growlers for the plane trip back home.
Food: Do Not Serve Food, I guess they do have food trucks that show up occassionally
Value: Decent prices, growlers were decent priced, pints were reasonable for the quality of the beer.
Overall: Best brewery in the northeastern part of FLA
Large and pleasant microbrewery with good service, multiple seating areas and plenty of free parking (around back). About 20 beers on tap, including about 4 IPAs, a gose, a RIS, a coffee brown, a pale ale and several other styles. Small pours available at $2 ea., with full pours at $4-$5.
A historic looking old building with exposed brick and 2 seating areas. A popular place for locals this was packed. Service was great with the staff really knowing thier stuff and engaging. Huge election of beers and samples of everything. Beer was all over the map from poor to awesome and was worth it just for the great ones. Prices are a bit on the high side. A good stop.
Sunday night - The place was fairly busy, and only one bartender. He moved quickly and was still able to spend time talking about the brews. There were 18 on tap, with beer flights costing $2 per generous 4 ounces. The beers varied from routine to solid with a lot of variety. Worth searching out if you are in the area.
