What a great place! The selection is waaaayy better than Iím used to. More beers Iíve never seen than anywhere else. (Although they didnít have double dead guy which is my new love.) The guys there are super-friendly and even told me about ratebeer! These guys know way too much about beer and can answer just about anything you can ask. New to Florida and I already found a new home! Thanks Kevin!
Abbey is a wonderful place to go and chill out with your friends and enjoy a great beer or wonderful wine. They have many rare beers as well as your tried-and-true favorites. A large draft selection and even more in bottles means that thereíll always be something new to try. Wines served are of good quality and the food is fresh. Service is impeccable. The price is fair. This place should be one of your stopps before you leave any time youíre in Deland.
This place is great, ive been there 4 or 5 times now as it is a trek from orlando for me. Usually go with boboski and solan but i am always up for making the journey. Todd is a great guy, and his passion for trying new beers and making his bar the best it can be is very encouraging. Great selection on tap and in the bottle. Also, have had the luxury of trying a few home brews on more than one occasion from friends of his bringing beer to the bar. You know its a great bar when you got people coming to the bar for beer, and people bringing beer as well. Keep up the good work and see ya soon!

Abbey is a great place to relax. The staff can actually talk about beer and recommend anything based on your preferences. Its great to walk into a bar and not see Budweiser sings hanging. It is very close to a local university, so weekends nights get crowded. I was told by the staff that they usually get 4+ new beers in a week. Worth the drive not just from Orlando, but Daytona Beach as well. Food is amazing as well.
Visited here in late October í10 while in DeLand for parents weekend at Stetson. Felt right at home - made it by there twice during the weekend. Excellent selection of taps (about 15 or so) and bottles (at least 60 or so). Had some Cigar City, Terrapin, Odell, SKA on tap to name a few. Many hard to find Belgians, a handful of JW Lees, some Colorado micros and they were featuring Dogfish Head - had at least half a dozen from them. Great atmosphere - big garage-type door opens up to the street when it gets busy. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly and always offer a taste before the pour. Food is from the restaurant across the street (Norville Barnes) which just so happens to be owned by the same folks. Had lunch there earlier in the day - excellent. Stop by if in the area and plan on staying a while!
My fiance and I visited here a few weeks ago and we really enjoyed it. This was quite a trek from my house in Orlando, but I will gladly make the trip again to go back. The selection is pretty good as there was some stuff on tap that I hadnít had before, and their stuff is always rotating. It is a nice cozy setting with some couches and live music playing as well, which was nice. They did have food, but i didnít try any of it. The service there is really friendly and knowledgeable about what they have. I met Todd the owner and he was really nice too and talked to us for about 20 minutes and even shared a beer as well. The only drawback was the prices are pretty high for the stuff they have. I am used to Redlight and all the great prices that are there. This is a really great place and look forward to coming back again and bringing some friends this time.
