Nice place. Liked the bartender. Open and light atmosphere. Parking sucks. Decent beers. Limit selection other than atg. Quick rotations.

Visited for dinner on a Monday, pleasant 1/2 mile walk from the downtown hotel I was staying at. It was a great night, so I grabbed dinner (Ribs, which were solid) and a few beers on the huge sidewalk patio Against the Grain has. In addition, there is a large indoor room with a few TVís, a big bar, and tables spread throughout. The selection was solid, 6-7 of their own beers + a few guest beers from nearby brewers. Service was attentive. Overall, great place to grab a beer. As this spot is connected to the baseball stadium, I would imagine it gets slammed before and after games.

Probably the best brewpub in Louisville. IT is located right next to Louisville Slugger Field and is walking distance from downtown. There is a bar and lots of open space with plenty of tables. There are several large screen TVs. The beer is unique, interesting, and tasty (I got to try a hoppy saison, grodziske, coffee porter, and imperial stout aged in bourbon). There were approximately 7-8 taps with plenty of eclectic styles. The food is good too - we tried the pulled pork nachos (which are actually served with potato chips) and the smoked turkey - all excellent. I would definitely recommend coming here and Iíd make it your first stop in Louisville.

Brownings closed and someone who knows what is up has opened up a brewpub in its stead. ATG brews beers in six smart categories. Rather than aim for specific styles, they have six general flavors in which different new brews constantly rotate such as malt, hop, session, and most awesomely: smoke. The bartender was so helpful and enthusiastic about the beer and food. Ambiance is eclectic with lots of hip artwork specifically created for the smokehouse. The food is absolutely excellent. Theyíve got their smokehouse focus on. Nearly everything on the menu is properly smoked. I ate pork confit fritters with smokehouse hash and a side of smoked slaw. I repeat, smoked slaw. The beer titles are an added bonus. It is places like this with a commitment to great beer and cuisine that are giving Louisville a bit of a scene.

I absolutely love this place. Great beer at unbelievable prices, terrific food and a perfect, downtown Louisville location. Attached to Louisville Slugger Field, it's close to just about everything and parking is always very easy. The people are always nice too. This is usually our first stop when we visit Louisville (we visit often) and we normally hit it up more than once when we're in town.

Stopped in with the wife for dinner while in Louisville. The vibe is great; clean and open with a good scene and awesome smells. The draft beer selection is limited but good, with seven house taps of some solid beers. Service was good as was the value. Iím really impressed! GET THE CHEESE GRITS!!!

Warehouse style interior with a nice sized long bar on the left and a bunch of tables. Good service. Tons of brews available, both their own and a handful of guests (Country Boy when I visited). Beers were quite tasty and the barbecue was good.

Nice place attached to the ball park. Inside seems really big with really talk ceilings, but there didnít seem to be a lot of seating. Service was really good, the guy pretty much knew his stuff, I like to ask a few oddball questions sometimes to see if they really know what theyíre talking about. Selection was pretty small but very diverse, everything we had was excellent. Food was good, kind of brewpub meets smokehouse, slightly on the expensive side for what you got. While we didnít have anything crazy good here, we did have some of their other stuff around the state and Iíd have to say they are the best brewery in the state. A must stop if in Louisville, hopefully they have some great beer on.

a: Itís pretty cool seeing two floors of the brewery behind the bar. Also, pretty neat to be in the baseball stadium. s: Could be better, but they try. s: Thereís always something new to try which appeals to me. They also always have at least one cask and three guest taps: local, domestic, and international. Great bourbon selection and interesting mixed drinks f: Food is excellent. Lots of vegetarian options, especially for a smoke house. the beer cheese is sublime! v: a little pricier than other brewpubs but worth it in my opinion
